When it comes to revolvers,
When it comes to revolvers, there are two primary models that come into people's minds: the .38 Special and the .357 Magnum. Both of these revolvers are actually suitable for hunting, plinking, home defense, and anything in between.
Of course, others may have moved on from revolvers to cater to the more modern pistols--especially the polymer ones. But these revolvers remain faithful to their duties until this day. They are downright reliable, effective, and powerful.
But for the revolver to manifest its true potential, it has to be equipped with the best types of ammo. Now, these two revolvers have a similar bullet diameter, which is .357 inches. However, the case of the .357 Magnum is slightly longer than the .38 Special. Hence, as long as you are using a .38 Special ammo, all .357 Magnum revolvers would be able to accommodate it.
However, just ensure that the ammo is .38 or .38-40 Short.
