Having said that, this is part 2 of this series video on determining the top 5 mistakes when choosing a China sourcing agent.
Part 2 - Communicating with Your Consultant / Suppliers Via Chat.
Practically, everything is done online, from correspondents to trade and even commerce. But when you'r sourcing products from a different country, especially one where the language is completely different than you own, you may have to make sure that the people you're dealing with completely understand what you expect from them.
In the same way, you need to make sure you understand everything they expect from you. For this reason, communicating with China suppliers via chat is not the best practice. You can still communicate with them online but it would be preferable to do so via email rather than chat or messenger. In an email, you can explain things in detail and ask your consultant or supplier to do the same.
Better yet, talk to them over the phone or via a video call. Don't be content with just an "OK" or "No problem" response. Ask for confirmation that they have understood what you are saying by asking to repeat the instructions to you or asking questions that could tell whether they have indeed understood or not. If there is anything that you don't understand, ask them to explain further.
Remember, proper communication is the key to smooth transactions.
