This is a really varied and beautiful long hike taking around 20 - 25km in total.  First, take the 111 bus from Wilderswil to Saxeten Schulhaus.  From there you follow trail 38 out of the village, taking the more scenic option via Unterberg, passing the waterfalls at Stalden.  A steep climb then takes you all the way up to Ballehöchst, where you can appreciate the Berner Oberland mountainscape for the first time.  The path then crosses the spectacular Tschingel, across to Lobhornhutte and then down into the wonderful Soustal valley.  Back up again then for the highlight of this hike, the incredible path from Marchegg to Allmendhubel.  This 6km long path just has the most incredible view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.  It is far more scenic than the traditional view below from Grutschalp, and I really recommend a hike along this path.  At Allmendhubel, I cheated a little bit (mainly because my knees are a bit injured) and I took the railway down to Mürren and then the cablecar down to Stechelberg, before finishing the hike with the ever beautiful walk along the Lauterbrunnen valley, simply the best way to finish.  Berner Overland, and Jungfrau region once again deliver the best hiking trails!  Total hiking time was 7 hours.
