Delhi To Meerut in Just 45 Minutes | Delhi Meerut Expressway Latest Update
Delhi to Meerut is good news for daily commuting people, from next month, people will be able to come and go to Delhi in just 45 minutes instead of two hours. NHAI will complete the Delhi-Meerut Expressway this month. It will then be opened for movement of people. The expressway has been completed in 4 phases, three phases have already been completed.
According to NHAI, there is now a side closure between UP Gate to Dasna due to the work of Abes underpass and Lalkuan
loop. The work of building a service road in Mehrauli village is at an end stage. The ABES underpass is targeted to be opened by March 27, while the road from Bulandshahr to Delhi on the Lalkuan loop will also be completed this week and opened to the people. In the rest of this phase, the work of 6-lane reserve of expressways (for installation of dividers) will be completed this week. The service road will also be completed by March 25.
The 32 km six lane expressway between Dasna to Meerut is in the final stages under the fourth
phase. It has started testing on a 700 metre elevated road over the railway line between Dasna to Eastern Peripheral Loop, which will be completed this week. In addition, the construction of toll booths on the loop built on the Eastern Peripheral will also be completed before March 25. On the other hand, the work of construction of approach road and toll booths on partapur loop in Meerut is also at an end stage. However, even though NHAI may open the entire expressway, it will take time for the railways to get ready because of the fact that the railways are now constructing robs of about 700 metres between ABES cut to Lalkuan.
