Sound designing is a detailed and lengthy process and requires a lot of patience as one can easily miss a sound or two. Even a one-minute reel with too much going can take hours or maybe days to finish. It's always the designer's or the producer's artistic choice to decide how much detail they want to go in with, as many times majority of the spectral space can be covered(occupied) with background music.
