অধিক ফলনশীল, উর্বরতা শক্তি বৃদ্ধি'তে দিন দিন জনপ্রিয় হয়ে উঠছে ভার্মি কম্পোস্ট বা কেঁচো সার। শুধু যে জমির উর্বরতা বৃদ্ধি' করে ভার্মি কম্পোস্ট তা কিন্তু না। বেকারত্ব দূরীকরণে  ভার্মি কম্পোস্ট সার উৎপাদন একটি যুগ উপযোগী পেশা হয়ে উঠেছে। বর্তমানে দেশের বেকার বসে থাকা অনেক যুবক এই পেশায় যুক্ত হচ্ছেন। কারণ খুব কম অর্থ যোগানের মধ্য দিয়ে এই পেশা শুরু করা যায়। তেমনি একজন হলেন শেখ মুহাইমিনুল ইসলাম সেতু। তিনি বেকার বসে না থেকে ২০১৩ সালে ছোট পরিসরে উপজেলা কৃষি অফিসের সহযোগিতায় ভার্মি কম্পোস্ট সার উৎপাদন শুরু করেন। বর্তমানে তিনি ৩০টা হাউজে প্রায় ৯হাজার কেজি কেঁচো সার উৎপাদন করছেন।
