Indian Railways remained a victim of political greed post independence: PM Modi

Addressing the launch of various rail projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Indian Railways remained a victim of political greed post independence. He added that before 2014 only 35% rail lines were electrified and that to more than 6 North-East Capitals there was no train connectivity. He added that all of this changed post 2014 as now rail electrification is nearing 100% completion with the introduction of Modern trains like Vande Bharat trains that covers more than 250 districts of India today, he added.
