2024 Waivers and Wages Day at the Georgia State Capitol

Advocates say there is a crisis involving people in Georgia with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Many of them came to the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday to urge lawmakers to pass Senate Bill 198 - which would create the Georgians with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Commission. This would provide state-level support for individuals and families across the state who are dealing with developmental disabilities, plus potentially provide for increased wages for caregivers.
