Impressions/observations during the test drive:
The exterior design of this vehicle is cool and modern-looking. It has a good enough amount of chrome and black plastic cladding all around the vehicle, those things are not over-used in this car's design. The chrome gives it a brand new vibe, while the plastic cladding gives it an outdoorsy crossover SUV vibe (which is what this car actually is). Moving over the inside, the material quality is good enough for this car and its price point. Its gear shifter does not look like a usual one, which gives this interior a techy and unique vibe. In regards to technology, this car does not disappoint, it has a screen beside the speedometer and in the dashboard. The transitions and responsiveness of both of these screens are good enough which makes them easy to use. It also has a camera system which has a good-enough video quality too. Occupants of this vehicle can also use the center screen for connectivity since it is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
This car has an engine and an electric motor, however the former's role is just to charge the latter. The electric motor is the one responsible for moving the car. In quicker-paced driving situations, this car accelerates really quickly because of the electric motor's availability of instant 100% torque (in gasoline-powered cars, more power and torque becomes available as the RPMs rise). However, compared to internal-combustion engine powered cars, this has close to zero sound. It only has one forward gear which makes this car's acceleration uninterrupted since there is no need for gear shifts anymore. This kind of transmission contributes to both the car's ride comfort and performance. If one really gets carried away with it, they would be surprised when they see the speedometer and realize how fast they're going already because of the uninterrupted feeling when accelerating and the general silence of the car. Sometimes, the engine kicks in and is audible but it is not intrusive. In sport and eco mode, the car brakes when the accelerator pedal is released - which is a normal thing for electric cars like this. The accelerator and brake pedals of the car respond well to the driver's inputs. The suspension of this car is obviously designed for comfort, rather than sportiness since its ride quality is smooth even when driven through rough road surfaces. Another thing that adds more to the comfort when being in this car is Nissan's Zero Gravity Seats, which is really nice to sit on. The steering of this car is light and is easy to maneuver around. It is not too light that it is vague already though, which is a nice thing.
