So we are gonna put in the dirt in here, we’ve got no more than an inch. If it’s your first time we are gonna use less. Now we are gonna cover this stuff up with some gravel. The idea size for this is about a bb gun BB size.
I’m gonna use some of this larger black gravel hear. The black gravel is gonna cover it up nicely. Look some of this dirt might creep up outta here with the black gravel you aren’t gonna see it as much.
Now he’s what we are gonna do… We are gonna fill this bad boy up with water now. Note: this is just a test fill we are gonna drain it and fill it about 3-4 time dependent on how clear the water is for ya.
The safest way to fill this sucker up is to use just a regular airline tubing and fill It up as slow as ya …ya see that, dripping out nice and easy. It’s not messing the cap up, we are just filling this sucker up nice and slow and while I’d love to sit here and slowly pissthis tank up with you we can’t do this all day. I’ve got a faster way to get it rolling.
We are gonna use a garden hose and the Sham-wow, it’s like a shammy, its like a sponge, we are gonna tie this sucker up and this will keep it from spraying every where. Now we still don’t wanna fill this sucker up to fast, I recommend you put a plate down or something to keep the water from spraying everywhere….
Now once the tank is full we are gonna look around for any spots in the tank that need work or patched.
Then we are gonna drain this sucker down.
Now the fastest way to drain this sucker down is to siphon the water out. Now if you’re a college punk and you don’t have a siphon not to worry. Go down to your drunkbuddy Bobbys room and grab his beer bong. Yeah- You know the friend I’m talking about the guy who wakes up hungover and still goes out to the bar on Sunday? That Guy.
Yeah grab the bear bong and ya drain this sucker down.
Ok, now this time we’ve got it drained down, No we are gonna get crazy and we are gonna throw some rocks in this bad boy, yep.
We want it to look natural so we are gonna grab some NATURAL looking Rocks. And we want a TON of the same looking Rocks. for more on these plants… We are gonna plant this sucker up.
Fill it as slow as we . This time we are gonna check our temps. Make sure they are about the same as our tank, We are gonna add our declor. Now what I recommend ya do is ya take some of this water outta your pissed off pink tub and add it back into this tank right here. Ya slap ya filter on.
Next day ya take your happy, not pissed off cause of the pink fish and ya float
Now we wanna add some plants. I recommend ya use fast growing plant to absorb all of the potential excess nutrients. Here are just some of the basic beginner plants. We’ve got some Jungle Val, We’ve got some Elodea. We’ve got some ludwigia.
And we’ve got some dwarf sag. Now all we gotta doing plant these suckers in here. Tall in the back, short in the front…. Yep. Bam Bam Bam. Badda boom bada bing. BAM now we have a great looking tank, that pink gravel is outta our life and we are feeling better, we turn on our filter, we let it all run for a day, then we add back our fish.
Next week after your drunkbuddy bobby passes out your gonna grab his beer bong and do a quick 25% water change again.
