If you want to sound like a native speaker, it's necessary to understand and use collocations correctly. Collocations are a combination of two or more words that frequently come together. While collocations can be difficult because they may not be logical or guessable from context, knowing collocations can help you to make fewer mistakes, sound more natural in your speaking and writing, vary your speaking and writing, and understand when writers depart from normal language for added effect.
