This is PART I of an in-depth retrospective of the original Constitution Class TOS USS Enterprise NCC-1701. It includes:
- Why is she named Enterprise?
- Breakdown analysis of the early concept designs, prototypes and final model design

Part II will cover Star Trek Phase II, the refit from the movies and stuff.
