🦟🥸 Nose Infection with fly larva (myiasis), was recently in the news.

📰First coast news reported that an immunocompromised man had over 150 fly larva pulled out from his nose.

✅2 things need to be present for this to happen:
1- hot & humid environment
2- immunocompromised
person (cancer, HIV, uncontrolled diabetes, etc.

🤧Symptoms:  nasal congestion, face pain, foul smell, recurrent nose bleeds.

💊Treatment:  debridement, removing all dead tissue, anti-parasitics, antibiotics, sinus rinses.
