Fatima Tihihit The Voice of Amazigh
Fatima Banou, alias Tihihit, is one of the most famous masters, who represent the Moroccan “Amazigh” music.
She was born in Timnar, near Agadir, Morocco, where she soon became influenced by the traditional music of the area.Fatima’s talent was discovered by the famous Raiss Demsiri, who believed in her promising voice.
In 1983, Demsiri invited her to join his orchestra.
Later on, she preferred to create her own group in collaboration with famous Berber artists like Aït Bounsir and Omar Ouahrouch.Fatima Tihihit is also an actress: she acted in some serials broadcast on Moroccan channels.
She is a famous and talented artist who devoted all her life to the Amazigh music promotion.
To achieve her noble goal, she launched many concerts all around the globe and participated in many festivals in the KSA, the USA, Indonesia, France, and the United Arab Emirates.
