Train Cab Ride Bellinzona - Chiasso Smistamento

Cabride from Bellinzona San Paolo to Chiasso Smistamento "Fascio U" with triple traction.

In this video we travel through the recently opened  "Ceneri Base Tunnel" to Lugano, then we cross the lake of the same name on the scenic Melide Causeway on our way south towards the border.

Chiasso Smistamento is a big marshalling yard on the border between Switzerland and Italy, where freight trains are formed or change personnel and/or locomotive; it consists of various "Fasci" (track Groups)  which form a giant "U".
