This video is a 16 minute sticky rice hack and provides an updated and more detailed method for cooking sticky rice from my previous video. Some might call it a hack, while others see it as resourceful. I prefer this quick method when I'm short on time because it only takes a few minutes. During the 16-minute cooking process, you'll let the rice steep in boiling water and then finish it in the microwave. Although the texture isn't exactly like traditionally steamed sticky rice, it's very close. I enjoy discovering new ways to cook Lao sticky rice and making Lao food more accessible to those who want to try it but may not have all the traditional equipment yet.
