Hello everyone! Do you remember Gatekeeper: Eclipse? That top-down roguelite demo for an upcoming game called Gatekeeper that pretty much looked like top-down Risk of Rain 2? Well, the developers removed that one and now released a new one called Gatekeeper: Infinity, where they changed some game mechanics, added new locations and new playable characters. Oh, and now it can be played in online co-op (yes, even the demo). So it's time to try it again.
My humble opinion kinda remains the same. It feels like top-down Risk of Rain 2. Everything is pretty well made (graphics, music, smooth combat, nice enemy design), but it is impossible not to think in RoR2 while playing this. One thing that I would add is at least an elite encounter (or miniboss) before finishing a level, because sometimes it feels like it lacks intensity (the one that gets while facing a boss or defending a small area).
Next time I will try a different character and hopefully after that I can try some co-op.
