Raging Brush Fire Threatens Residents in Jupiter Farms (05/19/24)

On May 19, 2024 at 14:29 (2:29 pm) Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a brush fire on 150th Court North. When first arriving units arrived on scene they found a large brush fire in-front of a residence. The first arriving units immediately began fire attack to ensure the protection of the residence.
The call was immediately upgraded and multiple additional crews from PBCFR and PBGFR were dispatched. Crews were able to control the blaze in under 20 minutes.
After the blaze was under control crews began hitting hot spots with water and foam to ensure the fire was completely out. Crews were on scene for over an hour and 45 minutes. Neighboring residences reported a loud boom and then their power flickering and then seeing smoke, however the fire is still currently under investigation.
