Class: Magical

Bio: One would expect a Knocktern to be quite chatty and social, but such a judgment couldn’t be further from the truth! Knockterns, being night-dwelling monsters, prefer the silent comfort of the nighttime, fluttering from tree to tree, silently humming and strumming in solitude. It is only when they are around their closest friends and family that they are fully comfortable putting their voices (and strings) out there, contributing their ghostly hoots and strums to a song for all to see.

They are from the third wave of monsters created by the Tinkerer, and were created with smooth and sturdy woodwork in mind, each individually crafted from the largest jungle tree in the Jungle. Although they are very sturdy, they’re still prone to damage! Their hollowed lower bodies and strings are a happy accident— while testing if their new creation could fly, The Tinkerer accidentally crashed the very first Knocktern into another tree, fraying some of the bark and knocking the unrefined backside of the monster. At first, The Tinkerer panicked, but when it was realized that this event had indeed extended Knocktern’s musical capability! This event has made all future Knocktern more skittish as a result, however.
