Where should the golf ball be positioned?
The video looks at the ideal golf ball position between your feet- whether the ball should sit centrally between your feet or closer to your left or right foot.
The position of the golf ball actually changes depending on the club you're using. The reason for this is that we want to slightly change the impact position and the launch conditions so that we get the best ball flight for the club in hand.

Ball Position for Wedges
The ball position for wedge whenever using a full swing is in the center of the stance, at an equal distance from both feet.
Ball Position for Irons
For irons, the position of the ball moves progressively away from the center of your stance towards your front foot (and towards the target). This progression is about half an inch per club. So for example, a 9 iron would be half an inch forward from the center of your stance, an 8 iron would be a full inch, and so on.
Ball Position for the Driver
Whenever using a driver, the position of the ball should be as forward as it’s going to get for any club. Specifically, the ball should be placed in line with the inside of your left foot (forward foot for right handed golfers).
Ball Position for Fairway Woods
Instead of moving progressively away from center as we did for irons, you place the ball away from where it is located with a driver whenever using fairway woods. So you will progressively move the ball back in your stance slightly as you move higher in the fairway wood number you are using. For example, a 3-wood would see the ball placed half an inch back to where it would be for a driver, a 5-wood would see the ball placed a full inch back, and so forth.
