Presenting Abar Bhanu - Tribue To Bhanu Bandopadhyay.
Bhanu Bandyopadhyay was a legendary actor in the Bengali films of yesteryears. He is perhaps the only comedy actor of Bengali films who had a huge fan following. He was more of a complete actor than a comedian in the movies he acted in.
His popularity was mostly because of the dialect he used while acting. In most of his films, he spoke in the dialect of the region he came from – Dhaka, now in Bangladesh.
Anupam Sarkar is a talented young artist who is known for his art of mimicry & all the more for imitating Bhanu Bandyopadhyay. He is probably the only artist from the new generation to carry forward the heritage of the legendary actor. He is named in the world of radio, television & stage. However, he is popularly known as “Bhokto Bhanu” .
