BEST GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKETS 2023 4K

A bucket list trip visiting over 21 must-visit German Christmas markets in Cologne, Mannheim, Nuremberg and Munich, Germany and in Strasbourg and Colmar France. We start our winter trip in Cologne, exploring 7 Christmas markets and jumping into all the delicious German Christmas food and drinks like bratwurst and Reibekuchen (potato pancakes) and of course gluhwein, including one lit on fire! After watching, you will know how to experience the magic of German Christmas Markets! We check out Cologne's magnificent and massive gothic Cathedral and its harbor front before avoiding a German train strike and catching an earlier train to Strasbourg; with a cheeky trip to Mannheim along the way. We cross the border into France and see the fairytale towns of Strasbourg and Colmar. Strasbourg is known for as the Capital of Christmas and we can see why! While Colmar was crowded it still had all the storybook charm of a small French village. We continue our trip with a visit to the German Christmas market poster child, Nuremberg. With one of the most picturesque market setting, Nuremberg is famous for its sausages and we just might have had a few of them! We end our trip in Bavarian city of Munich and visit the markets in the Marienplatz and of course visit the beer halls, Augustiner and Hofbrau. We even manage to slow down and relax at Europe's largest thermal spa, Therme Erding before heading back into the city for one last round of schnitzel, beer and gluhwein!
