GoPro as a Webcam with No Mod (not even a battery). No extra $$

You don't need to spend an extra penny and can use your GoPro 8 Black or above with firmware 2.X and above and your USB-C cable. If using an aftermarket cable, make sure it is not just a 'charging' cable, it needs to have the pinouts for data. Many cheaper cables do not include the data pin connections and you can't tell just by looking at them.
