The geography of climate inequity

Dr. Jeremy Hoffman is the David and Jane Cohn Scientist at the Science Museum of Virginia and an Affiliate Faculty in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs and the Center for Environmental Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. In this engaging talk, he discusses how historical urban planning has created patterns where disadvantaged communities more greatly feel the impacts of climate change-induced temperature rises. He also touches on other climate change impacts, including flooding, seasonal pollen count, and reductions in air quality.
