Man arrested for murder after girlfriend, child found shot to death in Gonzales home

Deputies arrested a man for two counts of first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend and their one-year-old daughter. Ascension Parish Sheriff's deputies said they found 41-year-old Christina Artus and one-year-old Kaylee Forcell in a mobile home in Gonzales. Both had been shot in the head. Neighbors said they saw 39-year-old Kalvin Forcell, the girl's father, running away from the home Sunday night.
