Original Sin

Where does Original Sin appear in scripture and how does that connect with Jesus as the New Adam?

Does St. Paul speak of original sin and the effect/entry of death into the human condition?  And, how does his connection with Jesus as the new Adam shed light on the way Original Sin operates in light of how Jesus' redemption operates?
