Not every client is a
Not every client is a good fit for you - but some are downright toxic to your business and health. Here are 7 signs that you might have a toxic client in your roster:
1. They don’t respect your boundaries.
2. They are condescending and rude.
3. They treat you like an employee (not a freelancer).
4. You can never do anything right.
5. Everything is urgent.
6. They don’t pay you on time.
7. You feel anxious when you think about them.
If you do find yourself working with a toxic client, don’t panic (yet). First, try to re-establish your boundaries. If they’re unwilling to work within the parameters you set for your own business, it might be time to drop them.
