At the beginning of the
At the beginning of the year I visited one of my favorite cities so I could see the best of London 2023 for 4 days.
Do you want to know what to see in London and do you want a good guide to visit it? So here's what I did.
We dedicated the first day to a walk through Hyde Park, our hotel was 5 minutes from the park, and to visit two of the best museums in London such as the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, which in addition to being in the same street are free. After these visits we headed to Piccadily Circus, one of the most famous squares in London, and from there to Leicester Squere where the TKTS kiosk is located where you can buy tickets for musicals on the same day with great discounts, we bought tickets to see Los Miserables by playwright Victor Hugo.
On our second day we crossed Green Park to get to Buckingham Palace, from there we went to Horse Guards where we could enjoy the changing of the cavalry guard. Right next to it is the most iconic building in all of London, Big Ben, next to the cathedral and the Palace of Westminster. We cross the Thames and contemplate the great wheel of the London Eye. Very close to there we can enjoy urban art with the graffiti of The Tunnel, a 300-meter tunnel that Banksy made fashionable with the Can Festival. We continue to enjoy modern art at the Tate Modern, the most visited museum in the world for this type of work. At night, with our tickets in hand, we were able to enjoy the super musical production of Les Miserables.
The third day, with a radiant sun, we began by visiting the London Wall, a vestige of the Roman occupation from the 1st to the 5th centuries, right next to it we could see the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. From there we went to the Sky Garden, a building nicknamed the Walkie Talkie where you can go up to its terrace for free by booking in advance on this website https://skygarden.london/
We continue the day seeing the monument to the Great Fire of London, we pass through the Borough Market, a very interesting market with more than 1,000 years old and the Leadenhall Market, famous for appearing in some Harry Potter movies. To end the day we went to the Covent Garden area, Soho with Carnaby Street in the lead and China Town.
We enjoyed the last day in a "must" such as Camden Town, starting with its graffiti murals and continuing with its market. Finally we end our visit in one of the most impressive museums in the world, the British Museum.
