Just for fun, Jarrad VK3BL decides to listen and watch 2.4GHz WiFi on the IC-R8600. What he learnt is, his smart phone really is smart after all!
Even the most basic of WiFi uses 20MHz of Spectrum, tying thousands of carriers together in order to transfer data at high speed.
Considering Jarrad can't even do the math on paper required to demodulate 1 carrier, its amazing that Smart Phones do this every day whilst merely 'sipping' at the battery.
