About Blue Moon Marquee ⤵️
Jazz clubs and crowded bar rooms. Low light and Blue smoke. Blue Moon Marquee has a sound largely influenced by old delta blues, swing, jazz and ragtime. Scream, Holler & Howl, their upcoming release is inspired by artists with an Indigenous lineage (like Charlie Patton, Link Ray, T-Bone Walker, Mildred Bailey and others) who have connected their heritage with the Jazz, Blues and Swing tradition. Blue Moon Marquee has created their own personal voice within this genre. Grammy-winning Duke Robillard is in town to produce the album and will be joining them for this very special performance along with Paul Pigat, Jerry Cook and a cast of Vancouver's musical elite.
About Duke Robillard ⤵️
Duke Robillard, former guitarist for Fabulous Thunderbirds and founder of the iconic Roomful of Blues, has produced albums by Billy Boy Arnold, Joe Louis Walker, Jimmy Witherspoon, Billy Price and Otis Clay and his touring resume includes a 2006 stint with Tom Waits.
About Paul Pigat ⤵️
With a jazz man’s sheen, a rockabilly heart and a hobo’s soul, Paul Pigat has lent his guitar mastery to some fine musicians over the years including Jeff Beck, Jackob Dylan, Michael Kaeshammer, Albert Lee, Brian Setzer, The Reverend Horton Heat, Jim Byrnes, and so many more.
