The Great Dying, or the Permian-Triassic Extinction Event, was the most devastating mass extinction in Earth's history. 252 million years ago, we lost Trilobites, Dimetrodon, and many other famous not-actually-dinosaurs forever. Luckily, they are all preserved in the fossil record. This video is here to help explain this global tragedy from before the dawn of the dinosaurs.
