Why does group work always seem break down? Some students take over the project while others sit back and watch. The workers are unhappy because they don't feel like the work is divided fairly. The hitchikers are unhappy because they feel their opinion and ideas aren't wanted. Group work in and of itself isn't enough. This video discusses the key components that every group work activity should have embedded in order to guarentee success:
1) Positive Interdependence
2) Face to Face Interaction
3) Individual and Group Accountability
4) Small Group and Interpersonal Skills
5) Group Processing
6) Provide a Meaningful Task
