Here are some of the most prolific killers in human history.
Anatoly Onoprienko's body count is 52, a Ukranian psychopath dubbed “The beast of Ukraine”.
Yang had told authorities he had carried out the killings because his girlfriend had dumbed him after finding out about a past conviction of rape and decided to unleash his wrath on society.
He was arrested in 2003, put on trial which lasted less than hour and was executed by being shot in the head on Valentine’s day in 2004.
Between 1967 and 2003 a serial killer by the name of Pedro Rodriguez Filho, had killed 71 people, a large number were inmates in prison.
Filho was born with an injured skull because his father had a massive fight with his mother who was injured.
He had stated that he begun to get urges to kill at the start of his teenage life. He also had killed his father in prison because he had murdered his mother with a machete.
Because of the Brazilian law system, one can only serve a maximum of 30 years inside. He was released in April 2007 and rearrested in late 2011 for false imprisonment and rioting.
One of the most evil serial killers in the history of man kind was Daniel Camargo Barbosa whose victim profile was young girls in Colombia and Ecuador during the 1970's and 1980's.
He had claimed the lives of 72 young victims by strangulation and using a knife once he had raped them.
Known as the “The sadist of Chanquito”, at a young age his mother had died and was raised by his step mother who would dress him up in girls clothing and abuse him.
Later in his adult life, he had formed a relationship with a woman who he agreed that he will stay with if she helped him to find young virgin girls to have sex with. She would lure the young victims to Barbosa and they would be then drugged.
He escaped to Ecuador where he had killed over 50 of his victims.
He was arrested in 1989 but in Ecuador only a maximum of 16 years could be served in prison.
In 1994, a report stated that Barbosa was murdered by one of his victims cousins who went by the name of Massache Narvaez.
Colombia has seen some of the most notorious prolific killers ever and Pedro Alonso Lopez is one of them, with a proven victim count of 110.
Between 1969 and 1980 he had raped and killed young girls aged between 9 and 12, his method of killing was strangulation.
Lopez who was dubbed “The monster of the Andez”, had stated that at age 8 his mother who had 13 children and was a prostitute, threw him out of the house because she caught him carrying out an incestuous act on his sister.
He was then repeatedly sodomized by a man who took him in. Thereafter, he was taken to an orphanage by an American family but had ran away after claiming he was being molested by a teacher there.
He left for Ecuador, after Colombia, where he was murdering 3 young girls a week.
After a botched abduction in 1980 of a young girl and being cornered by market traders, he was handed over to the police.
He was not believed until a large grave site was unravelled by a flood and bodies of his young victims surfaced.
He served 18 years and then was deported to Colombia where in 2002, it was reported that Interpol had advised to re arrest him for a murder committed in that same year.
Unfortunately, he was never seen or heard from since and nobody knows whether he is still alive.
The world’s most prolific serial killer is a man from Colombia by the name of Luis Alfredo Garavito Cubillos.
His proven victim count is 138 boys between the ages of 6 to 16 years old.
He would torture, rape and mutilate his young victims and tools of choice was a knife and screwdriver.
Known as “The Beast”, at a young age his father had emotionally and physically abused him and he was also a victim of prolonged sexual abuse.
