This video shows how to make healthy idlis using brown rice. They turn out really soft and spongy and highly nutritious too. This can be made either for breakfast or dinner and tastes good too.
Ingredients
For idli
Brown rice /handpounded rice 3 cups
Urad dal 1 cup
Salt to taste

Tomato onion sambar
Moong dal/ split yellow lentils 1/3 cup
Fresh methi/fenugreek leaves 1 cup
Onion 1
tomato 1
green chilli 1
Dry chilli 1
tamarind paste 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder
Sambar powder 1 tsp
Hing/asafoetida
Curry leaves a few
coriander leaves a few
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds1/4 tsp
