Hey Guys! Welcome to my channel, I'm Dr. Teresa Van Woy, author of "Wildflower, a Tale of Transcendence. In this video, I'll show you the very first piece of Driftwood I ever worked on. In Driftwood art sculpture #2 and #3, as I learned more, I show better tools and techniques than this one. In this video I take you along as I try to figure out and learn how to create a work of art from a piece of driftwood.

Some of the world's rich and successful people didn't start off that way. They spent nights sleeping on the streets, in their cars, or on friends' couches. Some of them struggled with their situation while pursuing their dreams. Dr. Teresa Van Woy is one of them who struggled from childhood but ended up reaching her goals.
The power of goals and following your dreams is one of the fundamental keys in every successful person’s life. The basic secret towards the achievement of goals is commitment. Writing down the goals and deciding what you want is one task and getting to it is another. Since this is already known, you should not let it take you apart. Fear is the main hindrance toward the achievement of goals and dreams. Set your goals, start working on them, and never, ever give up. This is the way you will reach your destination. Transform your misfortunes into fortunes.
▶️ Overview of WILDFLOWER, A TALE OF TRANSCENDENCE:
Spending the night in juvenile detention wasn't the worst thing to happen to seven year old Teresa. Her much anticipated summer vacation from Florida to California turns to years of abuse when her mentally unstable mother abducts her and three of her eight siblings to settle in the slums of San Francisco's Tenderloin district. At the age of seven, she was left to fend for herself and her family.
During her time in San Francisco, young Teresa fantasized of a better life. Observing how the other half lived, she never let go of her dreams as she forged her way from homelessness and abuse to become a physician. At a young age, Teresa learned that with hard work and determination, you can get what you want in life.
