How To Waterproof Extension Cords

Water is the enemy of animated Christmas light shows as it loves to creep into extension cords and trip GFCI breakers in the middle of your Christmas light show. Help waterproof your extension cords by using moisture blocking gaskets. These soft rubber gaskets are designed to protect extension cords by not allowing water to get in and thereby ruining Christmas light shows.  

One solution is to weatherproof your outdoor extension cords with these super soft, weather protection gaskets.  The gasket we tested in this episode is a Pro-Grade moisture blocking gasket. Just place the gasket between the male and female connection of the extension cord and the soft material is easily compressed and locks out the elements. It is meant to work in all climates and all seasons. It seems to work for weatherproofing Christmas lights, extension cords,  and other outdoor tools and appliances.
