This video tutorial describes the installation of different crystallographic softwares like WinGX, ORTEP-3, MERCURY, DIAMOND, SHELX, SIR and PLATON. WinGX (a GUI) with SHELX is a structure solution and refinement program. ORTEP-3, MERCURY, DIAMOND are molecular graphics drawing softwares. PLATON is a multipurpose crystallographic tool.
