EPLAN Electric P8, Version 2.7: Siemens TIA Portal Interface

New interfaces for the PLC data exchange in the AutomationML format
As of this version we are making two new interfaces for the PLC data exchange with the PLC manufacturers Mitsubishi Electric and Siemens available. Both interfaces utilize the manufacturing-neutral XML-based data format "AutomationML" (Automation Markup Language).
The multiple entry of data is avoided through the PLC data exchange. This means, for example, that long lists of order numbers and function texts can be transferred automatically. This reduces the work load across departments and avoids typing errors. The configuration is accelerated overall and the planning quality is improved.

The two new interfaces allow a PLC data exchange between EPLAN Electric P8 and the PLC configuration software "iQ Works" of Mitsubishi Electric as well as between EPLAN Electric P8 and the PLC configuration software "TIA Portal" of Siemens.
