Today, I'm excited to show you the Valentine's Day decor we've been decorating and the beginning of the transition into spring decor.
I love fresh flowers in my home, and since my garden is not quite ready, I headed to Trader Joe's for some lovely fresh flowers. Then, it was time to swing by Hobby Lobby to check out their fun Valentine's Day items and pick up some ribbon.
I think you'll love this free printable I created called "Love Story," featuring a Corinthian 13: 4-6 verse. You can get your free printable by visiting the blog post below.
I had it printed, added some decoupage for a brushstroke look, and put it in a frame I thrifted. I placed the framed printable on the mantel and added ribbon in antique white to complete the look.
My next project was flower arrangements. With a small bowl and roses from Trader Joe's, I arranged them in a layered fashion for a perfect Valentine's Day centerpiece.
Then, I arranged small flowers in glass jars on a dough bowl. It's a simple decoration with a big impact. Another easy-to-find and arrange flower is babies breath. Found at most grocery stores, it is an easy decoration and simple to make.
Here's a fun idea! I used a thrifted cookie mold shaped like a heart as a dish for heart-shaped candies in the entryway.
Of course, Valentine's isn't complete without candlelight. I used heart-shaped bowls and placed tea lights inside, arranging them in a trencher dough bowl.
Enjoy a tour of my home. This year, four key elements tied everything together: flowers, garlands and banners, ribbon, and candles.
