This video will help you remove background noise for live audio, it doesn't matter if its a fan in your room or a bad quality microphone hiss. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments and I'll help the best I can.
06Dec2021 - "Can't set sample rate 44100" issue fix
Open voicemeeter click menu, system settings, and on the right side of that window you will see " Preferred SampleRate:" click the box to the right of it and set it at 44100 and the issue will be fixed. Thanks to all who pointed out the issue. The devs must have increase the default rate. If that does not work close out of voicemeeter fully (make sure it's not in the tray in the bottom right either. Then In minihost's preferences try setting the audio device type to windows audio and then set it back to asio and make sure afterwards your device is voicemeeter potato insert virtual asio it should just be set to 44100 with out you selecting it. then just close out of the preferences window
19July2021 edit: At 03:00 in the minihost preference If the plugins don't verify when you install reaper, go to this website without the spaces "reaper . fm/reaplugs/" and download the plugin pack separately. Then in minihost change the plugin location to where you installed it mine was "C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\ReaPlugs" shouts out to @Daniellord for finding the issue in the first place.

In the minihost preference page(shown at 3:00 ) when you scan and verify the plugins put this in the first box
C:\Program Files\REAPER (x64)
If you have problems installing minihost :
click start
type cmd
right click run as admin
and type in the path for minihost_install.exe I had mine in its own folder the downloads folder so I typed:
D:\Downloads\minihost_1.5.8\minihost_install.exe
I pressed rented and the installation stuff came up
