Side by side direct comparisons to various damage changes from before the update, and after the update. Click show more in this description to see a full breakdown and additional explanation:
(BASICS)
Armor: Armor is now capped at 2,700 which is equivalent to 90% damage reduction. This allows more damage when partial stripping with heat or corrosive damage compared to before.
However, enemies also have more health, which seems like 25-40% more health depending on the enemy which nerfs certain elemental combos.
Shields: Corpus shields are stronger and have better recharge rates. However Magnetic is even stronger against them as a counter, even better than before the update. Magnetic also now works against overguard to severely cripple overguard on all factions.

In this video i use combinations of corrosive, viral, magentic, blast, cold, heat, and electric to showcase the various changes. Because of health increases on enemies a lot of combinations are actually weaker as even though you deal more damage, the enemy still has additional health that nearly counters that boost.
Full stripping then using Viral and Heat is entirely nerfed against the grineer, since they not only have more health but the damage types don't have any bonus as previously viral did 75% extra and heat did 25% extra, which is incredibly bad.
Because of health increases viral slash is also nerfed by up to 50%, taking twice as long sometimes to kill the same enemy from before (depending on level, steel path health scaling, etc).
Overall the changes makes some already meta weapons like the Xoris BETTER than the glaive prime, as it is able to easily use melee influence to spread corrosive and blast, corrosive and heat, corrosive cold, etc. The slash procs of the glaive prime no longer feel worth using and it just pushes side-grade meta weapons even higher.
This is not an in depth review however so i will leave it with this conclusion: The changes will take time to get used to, throws the meta into whack, and massively nerfs viral and slash.
