How I try to stand out from the typical C-curve watercolor rose that every floral artist starts with

Watercolor roses were the first flower I attempted to paint. It was THE flower that was SIGNATURE of watercolor. If you asked any floral watercolor artist about the rose - the first thing that crosses their mind is the C curves. That uniform 'formula' rose.

As easy and 'basic' as it looks in videos - I could never visualise how each of those 'curves' and 'brackets' become a rose. I struggled with this not just around the way it looks but the feeling I feel when I paint what everyone else is painting.

In today's video I will be sharing a few essential topics around changing my own art narrative, setting boundaries around inspiration and learning to preserve your own unique artistic voice without the dilution of social media.
