Brooklyn students connect with agriculture at Dutch Hollow Dairy Farm

October marks National Farm to School month, a time to recognize the connections happening across the country between kids, families and their community food systems.

As part of the recognition, Dutch Hollow Farms dairy farm in Columbia County welcomed students and staff from New York City's South Brooklyn Schools to get their hands dirty and meet their over 900 cows. Part of the tour was to show appreciation for where our food comes from and the challenges that are faced when it's taken away.
