The killing of Reini's mother by poachers sets these four on an ill-advised, sometimes funny and deeply moving journey through the wild African bush to an equally wild African city. Their purpose - to kidnap the ambassador of a South-East Asian country to force an end to the trade in rhino horn and the slaughter of these wonderful animals. A quest which goes very, very wrong.
Leon Schuster, as ageing Sonny Frank, is South Africa's premier box office attraction, filling over 10 million theatre seats over a thirty-five year screen career. Up until 2010, four of his films were in the top seven grossing S.A. films ever, along with Lord of the Rings, Titanic and Avatar. His films have sold all over world, primarily on television, the two highest sellers being "Yankee Zulu" and "Mr Bones". Dog, the large, protective and ever present Rottweiler, is the cornerstone of the cast. The character of Reini, the baby rhino, was built in prefect 3D live action animation. A family film, with a timeless story, from the great heart of Africa.
