This multi use Fjellduken or 'Mountain cover', was developed for Norwegian special forces over 30 years ago. It is well known amongst military and bushcraft circles, but after I saw friends using one my eyes were opened to its potential for hiking and backpacking.

The Original Jerven Bag is the lightest of all four models thanks to its single layer design. At only 600g, the Original Jerven Bag is best suited for the outdoorsperson who needs protection from the elements without being weighed down. The wind and waterproof outer material is available with a camouflage pattern, helping the wearer to blend in with a variety of environments while keeping them protected from the elements.
The Jerven Bag features zips around three edges, allowing you to adjust its shape as per the desired usage. Made from polyester, it features an aluminium coating which helps to reflect body heat back to the wearer. A pair of 3/4 length sleeves are included, which can be attached or detached as you wish.
