Scarborough Town Centre 1964

This is a short clip that I have edited from one of the many 8mm films that were lent to me by Maureen Murray. I think this would be about 1964 – no later than 1965. Reason I think it is 1964 is that  you can see that scaffolding is about to be erected to the front of Woolworths. It was converted around 1965. What you can just see is the old frontage. In the background the tall tower is part of Rowntrees. I`m sure there will be many memories for those of you who watch this clip – please feel free to comment. I have slowed the film down – gives us a better chance of seeing what the town looked like.
