Snaffle Bit Proper Placement

Proper placement of the snaffle bit. I like to place it low so that the horse learns to pick it up and has the opportunity to find release. When the snaffle bit is placed higher and even puts on a wrinkle or two, it can make your horse dull because the corners of their mouth is always engaged (no release). You want your horse responding off a signal and not leverage.  We should get away from the idea of "stronger bits" for "more control". Hope this helps some of you and God Bless!
