ETIAS, the new European Travel
ETIAS, the new European Travel Authorization System required for all foreigners from non-EU countries, has been again postponed.
As we have been announcing, very soon non-EU citizens who do not need a visa to enter Europe will have to take an extra step before traveling to the Schengen Area: apply for the online travel authorization known as ETIAS.
This system, which was announced in 2018 by the European Parliament as an authorization aimed at citizens of visa-exempt countries to enter the Schengen Area, was originally to come into force in May 2023.
While it was postponed to May 2024, a recent communiqué announced that it is postponed again. In this video, we tell you until when, and all the consequences that this will entail.
