Nasal Discharge can be of many types, a watery discharge is seen when it is associated with sneezing and stuffiness of the nose. Allergies cause by exposure to whatever is causing the allergy. This gives rise to sneezing, watery discharge and breathing. In the case of CSF rhinorrhea where the bony floor of the brain has been reached due to injury or whatever reasons. There can because of the fluids leaking out into the nasal cavity, thereby causing a nasal discharge, here the nasal discharge will happen without sneezing or without stiffness of the nose. There can be fluid flow from the nose, it does not clot and this is one of the features and apart from this the nasal of discharge can be thick, it can be colored and this discharge is mucoid in nature and there can be rupture of the nasal tissue and the sinuses this type of discharge can be associated with offensive odor. Sometimes fungal infection can be there. Here can be thick discharge and offensive because of infections. There are different type of discharge . Bloody discharge is because of infections in the sinus, in chronic infection and there is rupture of the tissues of bloody discharge. Frank discharge can be seen in case of fibromas or telengectasia or rupture of blood vessels in the nasal cavity. Different types of discharge is there and they have to be treated according to the causative factors to get a firm result.
