Ford Excursion AC Compressor Troubleshooting

Steps to take to troubleshoot your  AC Compressor when it is not working.  Test the Low pressure port to see if you have low or high pressure.  find the low pressure switch and test by jumping the connector with a piece of wire.  If Compressor does not work find the relay and test by jumping the connectors in the relay box.  Compressor must run in order for the low pressure reading to show properly.  once the compressor runs you can tell from your pressure gauge if you need to add more Freon.
